Thursday Tilt Features Men’s Tennis at Salem State

BOSTON – The Suffolk men's tennis team looks to get back on track this afternoon as the Rams visit Salem State for a 3:30 p.m. non-conference clash.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's tennis team fell on the wrong side of a 9-0 decision as the Rams were shutout by Thomas Sunday afternoon at North Reading High School.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After falling in back-to-back matches, Suffolk sits at 3-4 overall on the season. 

Ariel Ilarslan Russo continues to be a powerful force as the Rams' ace. In each of his four appearances on the top singles court the freshman has come out victories. When it comes to doubles play, he also sits unbeaten on the top team with Omar Azzaoui, 2-0. In singles, Azzaoui is also a threat and holds a 3-2 recording exclusively on courts one (1-0) and two (2-2).

VIKINGS VIEW
Salem State is a on three-match win streak, which features a convincing 8-1 victory over Suffolk's GNAC foe Johnson & Wales, that put the Vikings at 6-3 on the season. 

Andrew Muttiah has played exclusively as Salem's ace and brings an identical record of the team's at 6-3. He has teamed up with John Didonato in doubles action with the tandem holding a 4-5 mark all on court one. 

COMING UP
Suffolk returns home and to GNAC play Saturday, April 14 as entertains Regis at North Reading High School at 5 p.m.
