Men’s Tennis Begins Road Swing at Lesley Tuesday

BOSTON – The Suffolk men's tennis team will hit the road for the first time in 2018 as the Rams head to Lesley Tuesday, April 3.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's tennis team wrapped up a four-match homestand Saturday with a 6-3 victory over Boston Commons neighbor Emerson at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk, who played its first four matches at home, sits 2-2 on the season, the best start since 2016. 

Ariel Ilarslan Russo has maintained the Rams' ace position and is undefeated in singles action. Omar Azzaoui is also a top singles threat for Suffolk with a 3-1 ledger on courts one and two. 

In doubles play, the team of Rami Esrawi and Kevin Greenman is the blue-and-gold's best duo as the pair is unbeaten at 3-0 all in the third position this season.

LYNX LOOK
Lesley dropped its season opener at UMass Boston last week to sit 0-1 on the year. 

Niko Marcolini played on the top court for the Lynx in singles matches and partnered with William Sgro for Lesley's top tandem.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ariel Ilarslan Russo garnered GNAC Corvias Player of the Week after going 3-0 in singles play in his collegiate debut week.
