Men’s Tennis Tripped Up at Salem State, 6-3

MIDDLETON, Mass. – The Suffolk men's tennis team stumbled at Salem State as the Vikings defeated the Rams, 6-3, at the SSU Tennis Courts Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk took a 2-1 lead into singles play. The Vikings handled the singles action, taking five of the six slots, to claim the non-conference contest, 6-3. 

SUFFOLK STANDOUTS

  • Francesco Saia was victorous in both doubles and singles action. He teamed with Cameron Roach for a 9-8 (7-4) over Matt Mogren and Noah Hodgkins on court one. The senior came back from a straight set first 6-0 and rallied to a 6-3, 6-3, win over Mogren as Suffolk's ace.
  • Chris Parnagian and Charles Tang grabbed Suffolk's other point with an 8-2 decision on the doubles third court over Luke Hodgkins and Jacob Averka.

COMING UP
Suffolk closes out its GNAC schedule Saturday, April 15 as the Rams entertain Norwich at the Winchester Tennis Courts.
