BOSTON - In its second match in as many days, the Suffolk men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Salem State Thursday afternoon at the Central Campus Tennis Courts.
The Rams opened the match with a win after Alonso Vela and Francesco Saia took an 8-6 victory in the first doubles set. The win marked the pair's fourth of the season, a team-high.
The Vikings went on to take the final two sets in doubles before sweeping Suffolk in singles play. The loss put the Rams at 2-6 on the season.
Suffolk will return to action this Saturday as it travels to Rhode Island College to take on Johnson & Wales at 12 p.m.
