BOSTON – For the third consecutive season, the Suffolk men's tennis team hosted Wentworth in its first match of the year but this time fell short 9-0 at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

After getting an early start to the season on February 27, Wentworth improved to 2-1 with the victory. Matt Smith, Henry Tittmann, Nate Schwartz, Zach Peter, Seng Ly and Thinh Dang all notched wins in singles play for the black and gold.

In doubles, Suffolk's Francesco Saia and Alonso Vela fell to Smith and Schwartz 8-4. Jacob Duggan and Chris Parnagian dropped an 8-1 decision to Tittmann and Peter while Wentworth's James and Thomas and Ly defeated Anton Boubnov and Rami Esrawi 8-6.

The Rams are back in action Saturday afternoon as they entertain Wheelock in the second leg of a five-match homestand at 1 p.m.
