Men's Tennis Ease Past Emerson, 5-1

The Suffolk University Men's Tennis team cruised to a 5-1 victory over Emerson College on Monday evening.

Seven players registered a victory on the evening for the Rams.

Sophomore Calixto Romero (Lima, Peru) improved to a perfect 8-0 record in singles play as he took the number one singles game with 6-2, 6-0 set scores.

Senior Vasilli Stroganov (Hoersholm, Germany) and sophomore Vincent Le (Wilmington, Mass.) also earned wins in singles play.

Seniors Drew Reilly (Boston, Mass.) and Aaron Lau (Hong Kong, China) combined for an 8-0 victory in the top doubles contest. Senior Thay Thao (St. Paul, Minn.) and freshman Francesco Saia (Wakefield, Mass.) took the other doubles game with an 8-0 score to round out the field on the evening for Suffolk.

The victory impoves Suffolk to a 6-2 overall record on the season.

They'll be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Norwich University for a 1:00pm matchup with the Cadets in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.
