BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer will continue its homestand on Saturday, Oct.4 when the Rams host cross-town Conference of New England (CNE) rival, Wentworth at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m.

Suffolk men's soccer closed out its suspended matchup against Dean from August 29 on Tuesday Evening at James A. Sartori Field at East Boston Memorial Park with a 6-2 victory.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk enters the weekend at 6-2-2 and 2-1-0 in conference following a 6-2 victory over Dean on Tuesday night.
  • Mohamed Mehaya leads the team in every offensive statistic with 19 points at seven goals and five assists. Additionally. The freshman forward has tallied a point in seven of his last eight appearances and rides a three-game point streak into Saturday's showdown. 
  • Zach Vlachos (4g, 3a) and Francisco Valck (2g, 2a) provide an additional goalscoring threat, while Christian Gardner seeks out the front line with three assists in the midfield.
  • Nathan Harlow sits at three shutouts in his five matches started. The junior has posted a .810 save percentage and allows just 0.94 goals per game. Ian Caldwell has appeared in six contests and boasts a 1.08 goals against average and a .684 save percentage.

LEOPARDS LENS

  • Wenworth makes the trip across town at 2-5-4 (1-1-0 CNE) following a scoreless draw to Framingham State on Monday.
  • Kingston McGee and David Lemus headline the Leopards offense with three goals apiece.
  • Angel Rojas (1g, 2a) and Parker Cheyne (2g) have provided depth on the wings.
  • Isaac Chmbaas has started six matches in net, allowing nine goals with a .775 save percentage. 
  • Adrian Sanchez has seen time in three matches in between the pipes. He holds a .750 save percentage, while Mason Brooks stands at a .538 save percentage in his two contests.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Wenworth will meet for the 17th time since 1989.
