RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk snapped a five-game skid Tuesday night with a 4-3 triumph at Endicott to move to 2-5-0 on the season.

Offensively the Rams have struck 15 times over their seven games. Jack Kelly is a consistent contributor in the scoring scheme with team-best numbers in goals (4) and points (7) with three assists to his credit as well. Miller Rubin has had a knack for setting up Suffolk's scorers, dishing out six assists. Brian Brooks brings in a stat line of five points on three markers and two set-ups.

Nathan Pickett and Cal Wilcox have split time in between the pipes. Pickett holds a 3.50 GAA and .921 save percentage over four appearances, while Wilcox sports a 4.97 GAA and a .870 save percentage.

COLONELS CATCHUP
After falling in the season opener to SUNY Canton, 5-3, Wilkes has strung together six straight wins to hold a 6-1-0 overall mark.

A trio of skaters have eclipsed the double figure point mark already for the Colonels to pace the 32-goal offense. Donald Flynn (7g, 4a) and Nick Fea (2g, 9a) share top on the team with 11 points each and Tylor Barrow (3g, 7a) completes the threesome with 10 points.

Michael Paterson-Jones and Brandon Gordon have each seen time in net for Wilkes. Paterson-Jones is the usual starter with a 2.80 GAA and .909 save percentage over five stats. Gordon, meanwhile, boasts a 2.51 GAA and .898 save percentage in a pair of appearances.

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Becker split a home-and-home series with Western New England last weekend to move to 2-6-0 on the season. The Hawks, who host the tournament, will compete against Franklin Pierce Saturday.

Romain Wild paces the offense with a well-balanced nine points on four goals and five helpers. Jason Diamond and Phillip Garcia share second on the squad with eight points each. The former has scored six times and dished out two helpers, while the latter's stats are opposite.

Becker uses three goalies in Cody Foster (5.87 GAA, .885 save percentage), Grant Martens (4.55 GAA, .883 save percentage) and Zach Skop (2.46 GAA, .928 save percentage).

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Becker could renew a rivalry, meeting for the first time since 2017-18 and 24th time overall.
  • The Rams have taken down the Hawks in three straight meetings to grab an 11-9-3 edge in the all-time series.

RAVENS REVIEW
Since meeting Suffolk in its season debut, Franklin Pierce has assembled a 5-2-1 overall ledger and rides a six-game unbeaten streak, including four consecutive triumphs, into the tournament, which it opens Saturday versus Becker.

Alex Lester paves the way offensively with 10 points divided down the middle between goals and assists. James Morrissey and Chris Stevenson sport identical stats of three strikes and five helpers for second on the team in points with eight each.

Four different pairs of gloves have seen action or the Ravens. Kyle Martin has proved himself the most successful, winning all three of his appearances in which he built a 2.31 GAA and .893 save percentage. Adam Carman (0.92 GAA, .971 save percentage), Garret Stenberg (1.00 GAA, .968 save percentage) and Ian Wallace (4.03 GAA, .875 save percentage) complete the contingent.

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk men's hockey pulled the curtain back on its campaign in the win column for the ninth straight season as the third period strike from Jack Kelly pushed the Rams past Franklin Pierce, 3-2, November 1 at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena.
