RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk dropped its third straight outing, a 3-2 overtime setback to Anna Maria, to move to 1-3-0 on the year. Conference wise, the Rams lost its league-opening battles at Skidmore, 5-0, and at then-No. 6 Hobart, 7-4.

The Rams have found the back of the net nine times over four games. Jack Kelly has had a hand in 77.8 percent of Suffolk's scoring as the junior has potted four pucks himself and helped three teammates. Brian Brooks is also a consistent contributor offensively for the blue-and-gold with the senior's four points divided in half with two goals and two assists.

The freshman tandem of Nathan Pickett and Cal Wilcox have split netminding responsibilities this season. Pickett brings in a .917 save percentage with a 4.50 GAA, while Wilcox sports a .892 save percentage and a 3.96 GAA.

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HUSKIES
Southern Maine has yet to find the win column this season and sits 0-5 on the year after Tuesday night's 2-1 setback to Anna Maria. In conference contests, the Huskies have fallen to Castleton (4-3), Norwich (1-0), Babson (5-2) and UMass Boston (8-1).

USM has found the back of the net just seven times in five outings. The offense is bolstered by two-goal efforts from both Maverick Lynes and Cody Braga. Lynes is top on the team in points with one helper on his stat line as well, while Braga shares second on the squad in points with two with Mark Tomaschek, who has dished out a squad-best two assists.

Anthony D'Aloisio and Paul Leger have split time in net for the Huskies. D'Aloisio holds the better numbers with a 2.50 GAA and a .920 save percentage compared to Leger's .810 save percentage and 6.49 GAA.

PILGRIMS POINTS
New England College holds a 4-2 overall mark and a 3-1-0 NEHC ledger after winning its last three games including a league-weekend sweep of UMass Boston, 6-3, and Babson, 5-3. Prior to visiting the Rams Saturday, the Pilgrims stop by Johnson & Wales Friday night.

The dynamic duo Nikita Pintusov and Carlos Fornaris provide an offensive force for NEC. In just six games, Pintusov has 10 goals and two assists, while Fornaris has nine helpers and two strikes in five appearances. Daniel Berggvist has also proven that he has a knack for setting-up scores with eight handouts.

Anthony Pupplo looks to be the Pilgrims go-to goaltender as he has taken on the bulk of the workload in net. He has 152 saves to his credit with a 3.46 GAA and .884 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and NEC will meet for the fourth time overall.
