BOSTON – The Suffolk men's hockey team wraps up action on its home sheet this weekend when it entertains No. 10/8 Norwich and Castleton. The Cadets first stop by Friday, Feb. 1 before the Spartans visit the following day, Saturday, Feb. 2 for Military Appreciation Night. Both contests are set for 7 p.m. puck drops.

MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT
The Rams will don camouflage sweaters to honor those who have and are currently serving to protect this country. 

A ceremonial puck drop will take place with baseball's own Logan Heckman, who served in the Marines, dropping the puck.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's hockey fell behind early and never caught up to No. 14/15 Babson to fall to the Beavers, 8-3, Saturday night at Babson Skating Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk looks to snap a four-game skid this weekend that put the Rams 7-13 on the season and 4-10 in conference contests. 

The Rams' offense has been stymied as of late scoring 2.25 of goals per game over its losing stretch. Overall this season, the blue-and-gold has put away 2.95 goals per outing. Jack Kelly is the biggest scoring threat for Suffolk with 10 markers to his credit to go along with nine helpers for 19 points, good for second on the team behind Mikhail Bryan's 23 points. Bryan's leads the team in points thanks to his squad-best 15 assists and eight goals. 

Michael Levine has held down the majority of action in net for Suffolk. The senior has turned aside 466 shots for a .896 save percentage and a 3.46 GAA. Will Ribas has seen more time as of late. In six games played, the junior has put together a .910 save percentage and a 3.05 GAA.

CADETS CATCH UP
Norwich has found its grove as of late, rattling off five straight wins to improve to 13-4-3 on the season and 9-4-1 in league action.

The Cadets offense has also picked up the pace over its five-game win streak, scoring 19 of its 61 total goals over the last handful of games. Felix Brassard, Jordan Hall and Brett Ouderkirk each have seven goals to their credit to buoy the offense. Brassard leads the way in points as well with 18 with Gabriel Chicoine's 15 good for second thanks to a team-best 12 handouts and three markers. 

Tom Aubrun has handled the bulk of the action in net for the Cadets. He brings in a 2.00 GAA, a .919 save percentage and a 10-3-3 record into the weekend.

WE MEET AGAIN
The Suffolk men's hockey team picked up its first NEHC victory in stunning fashion with a 1-0 shutout victory over then-No. 13 Norwich Dec. 1 at Kreitzberg Arena.

EYES ON THE MATCH

SPARTANS SAYINGS
Castleton opened the New Year with a 5-1 win over St. Michael's, but has since fallen in six straight outings to slip to 3-14-4 overall and 1-11-2 in conference contests. The Spartans lone league win came over the Rams by a 6-2 decision Nov. 30. 

Asa Palker and Glenn Wiswell each have 11 points to power the Spartans 43-goal offense. Palker's stat line came off four goals and seven helpers, while Wiswell notched five goals and six handouts. Caleb Fizer, who has seven points, boasts a team-best six goals.

Wyatt Pickrell has taken on the bulk of work between the pipes for Castleton this season. The senior holds a 3.54 GAA and a .906 save percentage.

WE MEET AGAIN
Despite having 46 shots on target, the Suffolk men's hockey team could not get past Castleton's netminder Wyatt Pickrell and the Spartans took advantage of their opportunities to take down the Rams, 6-2, Nov. 30 at Spartans Arena.
