BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey will play on its first non-weekend night Thursday, Nov. 16 as it welcomes Western New England to Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink for a 7 p.m. battle.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's hockey could not complete the comeback as Salve Regina took down the Rams, 3-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference action Saturday night in a frigid cold Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is still in search of its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) points as the Rams have fallen in their last four contests to bring in a 1-4-0 overall mark and a 0-4-0 league ledger into Thursday night. 

Six different Rams have produced a pair of points for Suffolk this season. Matt Bucher and Brendan Heinze each have netted a pair of goals, while Brian Brooks, Connor Henry, Jack Kelly and Jared McCracken all scored once and dished out one assists. 

Michael Levine and Will Ribas have seen split the action in net for the blue-and-gold. Levine owns a 3.00 GAA with 73 saves and seven goals allowed for a .912 save percentage. Ribas, meanwhile, boasts a 3.335 GAA, giving up nine goals, and stopping 77 attempts for a .895 save percentage.

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Western New England sits 2-2-1 overall on the season and 1-2-1 against conference competition. The Golden Bears, who have played three overtime contests through five games, are coming off a 5-1 setback to Curry. 

Steve Beck's seven points on a trio of goals and four setups pace WNE's offensive unit, which receive six points from Matt Smethurst, (1g, 5a) and five points from Matt O'Dea (2g, 3a). 

Kevin Gollmer has seen the bulk of the action in net for the Golden Bears. The junior goalie has given up 15 markers this season for a 2.97 GAA and made 156 saves to own a .912 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk looks to snap a two-game skid versus the Golden Bears as the Rams enter the 34th meeting with Western New England leading the all-time series since the 1999-2000 campaign, 17-14-2.

FRESHMEN FRENZY
Of the 22 earned points by individual Rams this season, 10 have been recorded by rookies. Matt Bucher's two-goal day in the season opener versus Assumption leads the way with his classmates, Jack Kelly (1g, 1a), Mark Barton (1a), Jared McCracken (1g), Joseph Mortillaro (1a), Gavin O'Neil  (1a), and Joe Vingi (1g) also producing the first points of their collegiate careers. When it comes to goals, 40 percent of Suffolk's goals have been scored by the Class of 2021.

Suffolk will take on day from game action before traveling to Western New England Saturday, Nov. 18 for an afternoon matchup with the Golden Bears. Puck drop at Olympia Ice Center is scheduled for 3 p.m.
