BOSTON – Suffolk hockey saw 14 of its student-athletes recognized for their success inside the classroom with a spot on the 2017 CCC Spring All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Overall, hockey earned the ost recognition of CCC's sports with 116 men's hockey student-athletes earning the distinction. The Rams' 14 nods rank the third most among its CCC conference counterparts just one behind second-place Endicott (15) and six shy of the leader Curry (20). Suffolk saw the most student-athletes earn the recognition among CCC men's hockey affiliate members landing in front of Johnson & Wales (13) and Becker (10).
Suffolk's 14 honorees were comprised of a pair of juniors – Jack Jenkins, Luke Miller – a quartet of seniors – Connor Lawrence, Brett Lawson, Simon Leahy, Danyil Medvedev – and eight members of the sophomore class – Shayne Bailey, Tommy Bishop, Brendan Heinze, Connor Henry, Sean Henry, Michael Levine, Dominic Rovero.
