Men’s Golf Competes at Westport Inn Hampton Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – In its first event of the spring, the Suffolk men's golf team competed in the Westport Inn Hampton Invitational at the Allendale Country Club over the weekend with the Rams turning in a 17th-place performance. 

The invitational served as the first of two events in the spring series an annual event in its fifth season, which includes next weekend's Wildcats Spring Invitational. 

The Rams put together a 696-team score at the event, finishing 17th, while Tufts took first with a 620, six points ahead of second-place finisher Babson.

Individually, the Jumbos sat amongst the standings as well with Owen Elliott finishing the par-73 court with a plus six, shooting 75 each day to finish with a 150. 

Owen Boggini anchored Suffolk's squad, caring 169 with an 83 on day one and an 86 on the second day to tie for 49th overall. Demetri Stamoulis came in a tie for 60th with a 172, scoring 88 and 84 across the two days with Patrick Hambleton sharing 77th with a score of 181. 

Elias Sachs and Stephene Ferrante rounded out the Rams' golfers in 87th and 91st, respectively. 

Suffolk wraps up its Spring action next weekend at the Cranston Country Club in Cranston, Rhode Island, for the Wildcats Spring Invitational.
