Men’s Basketball Unveils 2019-20 Slate

2019-20 MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

BOSTON – Coming off the most successful season in over five decades, Suffolk men's basketball looks to do more damage in 2019-20 with a 25-game regular-season ahead, head coach Jeff Juron announced Wednesday afternoon.  

The Rams begin with early tests at Babson Tip-Off Tournament. The season opener pits Suffolk against Salem State Saturday, Nov. 9 before taking on the hosts Babson the following day. 

Next, Suffolk faces a familiar opponent in the home opener Saturday, Nov. 16 with Lasell stopping by Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court for a non-conference clash. 

A mid-week home game against Brandeis, Wednesday, Nov. 20, closes out a short home stretch that precedes a trip to Salve Regina that wraps up the first month of play Saturday, Nov. 23. 

Suffolk walks across the Boston Commons to Emerson to lift the lid on December play Thursday, Dec. 3. 

A return to Ridgeway follows the Beantown battle as Lesley visits Thursday, Dec. 5 then its right back on the road two days later as a non-conference tangle at Regis wraps up the week Saturday, Dec. 7. 

From Weston, Massachusetts, the Rams travel to Bristol, Rhode Island for a Tuesday, Dec. 10 tilt at Roger Williams. The Beacons of UMass Boston then come to Beacon Hill for Suffolk's first semester finale Saturday, Dec. 14. 

Suffolk pulls the curtain back on its second portion of its schedule in the Empire State when it treks to Mount Saint Mary's Thursday, Jan. 2. 

Two days later the Rams are back on the friendly hardwood of Smith Court against Western New England with Fitchburg State coming to Title Town four days after that (Jan. 8). 

Non-conference contests are capped off at Tufts Tuesday, Jan. 14. 

The quest for GNAC glory begins at home versus Anna Maria Saturday, Jan. 18. From there the rest of January will be played on the road with league battles at St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jan. 21), Lasell (Jan. 25) and Johnson & Wales (Jan. 29). 

The reigning GNAC Champions, Albertus Magnus, pay the Rams a visit Saturday, Feb. 1 with Rivier set to stop by Tuesday, Feb. 8.   

Suffolk settles its road tests over the next trio of outings at Emmanuel (Feb. 7), Norwich (Feb. 12) and Colby Sawyer (Feb. 15).  

The final week of the regular season will be played in front of Ram Nation when Saint Joseph's (Maine) and Regis visit Ridgeway February 18 and February 22, respectively. 

Juron, reigning GNAC Coach of the Year, brings back the Rams' two leading scorers in  Thomas Duffy (15.6 ppg) and Brendan Mulson (13.1 ppg). Last season, Suffolk's defense proved to be the best in the league, holding opponents to 71.6 ppg.
