Endicott Handles Suffolk in Nightcap

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk baseball could not overcome an offensive onslaught from Endicott and the dealing by Joseph Oriola as the Rams were shutout 16-0 in the second game of a non-conference doubleheader at North Friday Friday afternoon.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 0, Endicott 16
RECORDS: Suffolk (25-17) | Endicott (27-17)

HOW IT HAPPENED
After sitting the Rams in order in the top of the first, Endicott went through the order in the home half and gained a 6-0 lead thanks to three hits including a three RBI bomb by Ian Schmidt and four walks.

Endicott continued to keep its hitting ways over the next handful of innings and put up an impressive seven runs in the fourth thanks in large part to Kyle Brennan's grand slam to put the Rams in a 14-run hole.

Down the stretch, there was too much ground for the Rams to make up as Oriola kept the blue-and-gold bats quiet to take the 16-0 shutout.
