Nicholas Perenick joined the Suffolk Athletic Department as a Graduate Assistant in 2020, his first season with the Sports Information Office. Perenick assists with the production, promotion and publicity of all 19 Rams’ varsity teams, as well as the department. 

A native of Woburn, Massachusetts, Perenick comes to Beacon Hill a 2020 graduate of Springfield College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication/Sports Journalism. As an undergraduate student he completed athletic communication internships at Endicott, Western New England, and Mount Holyoke. Each institution gave him experiences across multiple platforms.  

Starting in the summer of 2018 at Endicott, he helped maintain the Gulls’ social media presence through various and written components and helped build the athletic record books. From there, he assisted in the input of statistics and performed the play-by-play duties for a variety of athletic broadcasts at WNE. Perenick’s most recent experience came as the primary contact for Mount Holyoke’s lacrosse team in 2020 where he created graphics for all of the Lyons’ athletic contests.  

Outside of the athletic communications industry, he was the Event Leader for Springfield Athletics and served as an assistant coach for the Springfield Thunderbirds sled hockey team for two seasons.  

While at Suffolk, Perenick will further his education with a Master’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising.
