About Athletics

Suffolk University is an NCAA Division III institution located in Boston’s downtown Beacon Hill area. Our student-athletes have the chance to compete, learn and enhance their classroom experience in one of the nation’s best sports towns, while still maintaining the ability to balance both academics and athletics. The majority of student-athletes at Suffolk University choose our programs because of our school's unique location which allows them to take advantage of the many opportunities and resources that being in downtown Boston offers. Suffolk student-athletes are well-rounded, motivated and suited for success. Many of our student-athletes will utilize their surroundings to take advantage of internships, co-ops and other educational opportunities while still being able to make the most out of their academic learning experience and play the sport they love.
