BOSTON – Exactly a week ago today the NCAA unveiled that the NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men's and women's 2002 baseball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA Championships.  

The decision was based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, and the association's ability to ensure the events do not contribute to the spread of the pandemic, and the impractically of hosting such events at any time during the academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities.  

A day later, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) President's Council voted unanimously to make the difficult decision to call off all spring competition, practices and championships for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year.  

Today, Ram Nation joins the #UnitedAsOne social media campaign that exemplifies unity with the decisions and supports our student-athletes, programs, fans, family, competitors and all those that are being affected by the current state of affairs.
