Women’s Cross Country Captures Battle for Boston Commons Title

BOSTON – Suffolk women's cross country won the fourth annual Battle for Boston Commons Saturday afternoon, defeating Emerson in a dual race by a 19-41 margin at Franklin Park.

Graduate student Ellie Davis won the handled the 15-runner field with a 6k time of 23:57. Skyler Goodman came through the finisher's chute seven seconds after Davis to land second and help the Rams hoist the trophy for the fourth straight season in the head-to-head match, which pits Suffolk against its Boston Common neighbor Emerson. 

Sarah Roberts and Amy Pattelena finished one after another in fourth and fifth, respectively. Roberts logged a 25:30, while Pattelena clocked a 26:22. 

Jocelyn Triscik's 28:58 was good for seventh and rounded out the Rams point earners. 

Suffolk will now look to defend its conference title in two weeks at the 2022 CCC Championships in Biddeford, Maine at Rotary State Park Saturday, Oct. 29.
