Volleyball Slips in Three at Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – In its first-ever meeting with Hartford, Suffolk volleyball fell to the Hawks in straight sets Thursday night at the Hartford Volleyball Gym. The setback was a back-and-forth affair via set scores 25-16, 27-25 and 26-24.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

  • McKenna Keowen led the way offensively and defensively with eight kills and 16 digs. The junior added one ace. 
  • Sami Shore also supplied eight kills on a .438 hitting clip. The freshman had a pair of blocks and one dig to her credit as well. 
  • Jasmine James pitched in seven kills on a .417 attack percentage with two digs and one block. 
  • Jayla Martinez contributed a team-best 18 handouts, eight digs, two kills and one ace. 
  • Aislinn Lanigan logged 11 helpers and two digs. 
  • Morgan Kelsey served four aces and notched eight digs. 

NOTEWORTHY

  • Suffolk and Hartford met for the first time.
