SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Suffolk volleyball won the first set, but Williams stormed back to take the next three to hand the Rams a 3-1 loss in their final outing at the Union Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Viniar Athletic Center. The match was decided by set scores 23-25, 25-18, 25-15 and 25-14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk won the heated back-and-forth battle first frame, 25-23, the Elphs rallied in the second stanza, 25-18, to level the score. Williams easily took things over in the third, 25-15, and has a near repeat performance in the fourth, 25-14, to seal the setback for Suffolk.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- The Rams' attack was well-balanced with seven kills from Jasmine James and six by McKenna Keowen.
- Keowen paced the defense as well with a 10-dig, two-block effort.
- Kenzley Bell pitched in seven digs to go along with nine assists.
- Jayla Martinez registered 10 assists, four digs and two aces.
- As a team, Suffolk produced 10 blocks with Alina Nowakowski and Julia Leavey each knocking down three.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk and Williams met for the first time.
