BOSTON – In the midst of a road stretch, Suffolk volleyball takes a break from conference contests Tuesday, Oct. 15 when it heads to WPI. The non-league match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

BENCH PRESS FOR BREAST CANCER
Members of Ram Nation are asked to pull their weight in an effort to take the load off of those affected by breast cancer in Suffolk Athletics' Bench Press for Breast Cancer event Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk volleyball cruised to a straight set victory over Anna Maria Saturday afternoon at the Fuller Activities Center. The GNAC win came by set scores 25-6, 25-12 and 25-19.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has compiled the fifth-most wins in program history with a 15-6 overall record.  

The Rams' 10.27 kps attack, which is primarily set up by rookie Harmony Johnson's 7.97 aps, receives 2.97 kps from Hannah FabianoKayla Barbera pitches in 1.98 kps and Sarah Mullahy adds 1.85 kps.  

Kenzley Bell paces the defensive unit with 3.81 dps. Dakhensey Marcellus chips in 3.35 dps with Mullahy and Stephanie Rheaume leading the way at the net with 0.47 bps each. 

EYES ON THE ENGINEERS
WPI swept a non-conference tri-match on Saturday with straight set wins over Regis and Fitchburg State to improve to 10-8 on the year.  

Amanda Wetmore's 2.48 kps and Maddie Sanborn's 2.26 kps anchor the 11.17 kps attack. Cahterine Reynolds and Lilly Taylor split setting duties with 7.91 aps and 7.36 aps, respectively. 

Reynolds is the defensive leader with 3.06 dps. The setter receives consistent helps from Kayleigh Campbell, who contributes 2.53 dps, and Renee Sawka, who tallies 0.80 bps. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and WPI renew a rivalry, meeting for the first time since 2011 and fifth time overall. 
  • The Rams trail the all-time series, 1-3. 
  • Suffolk's only win over the Engineers came in straight sets in Boston in 2003. 
  • The blue-and-gold looks to snap a two-match skid versus WPI. 
  • Three matches have been decided in straight sets. Suffolk is 1-2 in such outings.
