BOSTON – Looking to bounce back, Suffolk volleyball returns to the Larry E. Smith and Michael S. Smith Court for a non-conference clash with Lesley on Thursday, September 12. The Rams and Lynx are set for a 7 p.m. start time.

LAST TIME OUT
In a battle between Boston Commons neighbors, Suffolk volleyball landed on the wrong side of a straight set decision as Emerson prevailed over the Rams Tuesday night at the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith court. The non-conference setback came by set scores 25-13, 25-21 and 25-23.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk currently sits at .500 with a 3-3 record.   

The Rams sport 9.90 kps, led by a trio of upperclassmen: Hannah Fabiano (2.70 kps), Sarah Mullahy (2.20 kps) and Kayla Barbera (2.05 kps). Reigning GNAC Rookie of the Week, Harmony Johnson, sets up the attack, providing 7.65 aps. 

On defense, the blue-and-gold is anchored by freshman Kenzley Bell with 4.60 dps. Meanwhile, Barbera adds 3.00 dps. Mullahy leads the first line of defense with 0.45 bps in front of net.

LYNX LOOK
Lesley holds a 0-2 record after opening matches with Curry and Emmanuel. 

Elise Morgan and Cassidy Wygonik lead the Lynx offense with 3.33 kps and 3.00 kps, respectively. The pair also helps defensively. Wygonik provides 2.33 dps, while Morgan adds 2.00 dps. Alison Napoleon runs the offense, dishing out 5.17 aps.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • This is the first matchup between the Rams and Lynx since 2015.
  • Since 2007, Suffolk is 3-6 all-time versus Lesley.
