RAMS IN THE POSTSEASON

  • Tuesday's tilt marks the 13th postseason trip for Suffolk and third straight.
  • The Rams make their second tournament rip as the fifth seed, which is the highest finish for Suffolk since being fourth in the 2005 field.
  • The blue-and-gold will square off with the Lasers in the conference postseason for the first time.
  • Suffolk has yet to advance to the semifinals and looks for it's first-ever conference tournament win.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk slipped in both outings in its final tri-match of the week, falling to No. 2 Johnson & Wales, 3-0, before being set-back by St. Joseph's (Maine) to hold an 11-16 overall record.

The trio of Hannah Fabiano (2.18 kps), Kayla Barbera (2.15 kps) and Chidera Nwankwo (2.04 kps) have helped Suffolk to its most wins in league action since 2005 (7-5) as the sophomores and senior produce over 2.00 kps each. The threesome has been primarily set-up by setter Talia Lombardo's 8.00 aps with the senior leading the way on the serve as well with 0.63 aces per set.

Bridget Allison has contributed on both sides of the net with a team-best 0.55 bps to go with 1.75 kps. Overall the Dakhensey Marcellus (4.50 dps) sees the majority of the Rams' reception with Emma Feeney and Barbera lending a hand with 2.53 dps and 2.51 dps, respectively.

LASERS LOOK
Lasell has fallen in four straight matches, winning just one set in that stretch. The four-match skid put the Lasers at 13-18 on the year.

The Lasers offense sees a pair of players producing over 3.00 kps in Kiana Perez (3.33) and Olivia Addington (3.03). The duo is also the key contributors to Lasell's defense as well. Addington registers 3.37 dps with Perez contributing 3.00 dps. The defensive unit is paced by Allie Jo Amos' 4.09 dps. Jess Langan has held down the setter role for the Lasers this season with the freshman handing out 7.57 assists per set.
