LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk volleyball team coasted past Curry in straight sets Saturday afternoon to conclude its final home tri-match at Regan Gymnasium. The non-conference victory came by set scores, 25-13, 25-7 and 25-19.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Behind its three straight wins, Suffolk improved to 7-12 on the season. 

The Rams' 9.36 kps attack receives over 2.00 kps from both sophomores Kayla Barbera (2.22 kps) and Hannah Fabiano (2.21 kps). The pair is consistently set-up by senior setter Talia Lombardo, who provides 7.70 assists per set, and is the major threat at the service line, averaging 0.72 aces per set.

Dakhensey Marcellus is the main force defensively with 4.35 dps. Barbera adds 2.40 dps with Emma Fenney pitching in 2.20 dps.

FIGHTING SCOTS SCOUT
Gordon ended a quad-match Saturday with a thrilling 3-2 win over Plattsburg State to head into Monday night 12-11 on the season. 

The trio of Mackenzie Hinds (2.73 kps), Amanda Snyder (2.70 kps) and Jamie Tafoya (2.20 kps) lead the way offensively for the Fighting Scots, which is primarily set up by Ashlyn Gergin's 8.70 aps. 

Jenny Curtiss paces Gordon defensively with 4.27 dps with Hinds and Jordan Shaduk pitching in 2.18 and 0.72 bps, respectively.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Monday's match marks the eighth meeting all-time versus the Rams and Fighting Scots.
  • Suffolk trails the all-time series, 2-5.
  • Both of the blue-and-gold's victories over Gordon came in straight sets in 2010 and 2013, respectively.
  • Four matches were decided in sweeps. Suffolk is 2-2 in such decisions.
  • Last season, the Rams fell in a five-set thriller to the Fighting Scots.
