BOSTON – The Suffolk women's volleyball team continues a hectic week of four matches over six days Thursday, Oct. 4 as the Rams head to Framingham State for a 7 p.m. non-conference clash.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk volleyball team suffered a straight set defeat to cross city rival Wentworth Tuesday night inside Regan Gymnasium. The setback came by set scores 25-18, 25-14 and 25-10.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is on a seven-match skid that put the Rams at 3-10 on the season. The Rams' last win came in four sets to Albertus Magnus Sept. 15. 

Hannah Fabiano and Kayla Barbera each provide over 2.00 kps with 2.30 kps and 2.11 kps, respectively. The sophomores have been set up classmate Meg Kerek, who took over setter responsibilities as of late and produces 3.63 aps. Barbera (0.45 aps) and Emma Feeney (0.37 aps) are the biggest threats from the service line.

Dakhensey Marcellus holds down the defense with 4.33 dps with Barbera (2.39 dps) and Feeney (2.15 dps) adding to the effort.

FRAMINGHAM STATE FACTS
Framingham State has been on a roll lately with three straight wins including two sweeps to improve to 11-7 on the season. 

Brandee Thomas' 3.00 kps leads the way with Brandey Rorigues and Grace Caughey pitching in 2.52 kps and 2.21 kps, respectively. Mackenzie Whalen holds down setting duties with 8.37 aps.

Alyssa Cafarelli's 3.79 dps anchors the Rams' defensive effort with Deirdrre Fay (3.26 dps) and Whalen (2.65 dps) being consistent contributors.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk downed Framingham, 3-1, a year ago to return to the win column versus FSU for the first time since the inaugural meeting in 2003.
  • Overall, the Boston Rams trail the Framingham Rams, 2-11.
  • Eight meetings have been decided in straight sets with the blue-and-gold only winning one cleansheet.
  • Four matches have gone to four sets with Suffolk holding just one of those victories.
  • Suffolk and Framingham have never gone to five sets.
