LAST TIME OUT
In its final home tri-match of the season, Suffolk volleyball pick up a straight set win over Norwich before falling in a five-set thriller to Curry Saturday afternoon at Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With its eyes on the post season, Suffolk volleyball currently sits in fourth place in the GNAC standings with a 12-9 overall and 5-3 league ledger. 

Hannah Fabiano and Talia Lombardo continue to lead the way for the Rams on both sides of the net. Fabiano produces a team-high 2.80 kps to go along with 2.53 dps, which lands second on the squad. Lombardo, meanwhile, boasts a stat line of 1.91 kps, 0.86 aces per set and 2.33 dps. Liz Kerek has served as the Rams' primary setter, dishing out 6.36 aps. 

Bridet Allison and Dakhensey Marcellus add to the defensive effort with team bests of 0.66 bps and 3.13 dps, respectively.

PRIDE PROWL
Regis took the weekend off after falling to conference powerhouse Johnson & Wales Oct. 11. The Pride, who is 9-13 overall, sits right behind Suffolk in fifth place in the standings with a 5-3 league ledger. 

Katryna Veasey (2.76 kps) and Sydney Trusty (2.00 kps) average over 2.00 kps 6 kps and 2.00 kps, to lead the Pride's offense. The pair also anchors the defense. Veasey paces the Pride with 2.19 dps, while Trusty contributes 2.09 dps. Haley Schulte and Shay Faber have split time as Regis' setter, dishing out 4.11 aps and 3.71 aps, respectively.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk renews its rivalry with Regis, which dates back to the 2003 season.
  • The Rams lead the all-time series 4-3, but have dropped the last three meetings with the Pride.
  • All of Suffolk's victories over Regis came in straight sets.
  • Overall, all, but one match was decided in a sweep with Suffolk owning a 4-2 record in such outings.
  • Regis owns the lone four-set match, which came in 2007.
  • Suffolk will take the floor versus Regis for the first time in the Bonny Ducharme era.

EYES ON THE MATCH

TRIPLE-double
Talia Lombardo turned in a stellar performance for Suffolk volleyball in a five-set thriller versus Curry Saturday afternoon en route to the first known triple double in Rams' history.

SETTING IT UP
After recording her 1,000th assist Oct. 7 versus Lasell, senior Liz Kerek has slid into second place all-time in Suffolk history with 1,190 career handouts, displacing Katie Hemlin's 1,134 mark set in 2005. Kerek is currently 631 assists shy of the all-time record (1,821), which Julia Sullivan holds. 

SWEEPS

  • 10 of Suffolk's 21 matches have been determined in straight sets.
  • The Rams are 4-6 this season when playing in three-set matches.

WHEN IT COMES TO FIVE

  • Suffolk has played five five-set thrillers this year with the Rams owning a 3-2 record in such outings.
  • Overall under Bonny Ducharme, the blue-and-gold is 5-1 when going the distance.
