BOSTON – The Suffolk volleyball team wraps up its season-opening five-match road test Tuesday, Sept. 12 when the Rams visit Eastern Nazarene. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Over the weekend, the Suffolk volleyball team took the courts at the Smith Invitational, where the Rams fell to Gallaudet, 3-0, Mt. St. Vincent, 3-0, and Western New England, 3-1.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After opening the season with a 3-1 win at Mass. Maritime, the Rams dropped all three of their matches at the Smith College Invitational to slip to 1-3 on the young season. 

Hannah Fabiano has been the force for Suffolk's attack this season as the middle hitter records 2.50 kps on a .447 connection rate. The freshman is also a key contributor to the Rams' defense, chipping in 2.20 dps. Juniors Talia Lombado and Bridget Allison have also been consistent for Suffolk. Lombardo produces 1.93 kps, 3.00 assists per set, 1.64 dps and 0.86 aces per set. Allison, meanwhile, chips in 1.79 kps, 1.07 dps and 0.79 bps.

LIONS LOOK
Eastern Nazarene won three of its first four matches, but has since lost four straight including a straight set defeat to Suffolk's fellow GNAC member Lasell Saturday to carry a 3-5 ledger in Tuesday's tilt. 

Courtney McCarthy anchors the Lions 8.50 kps attack with the sophomore outside hitter's 3.21 leading the way. Jenna Meacham, who paces the pack defensively with 3.61 dps, chips in 2.00 kps on the offensive side of the net. McKenzie Walling adds 3.59 dps to the defense. Kayla Dean has set up the majority of Eastern Nazarene's offense with 7.11 aps, while Samantha Caldwell adds 4.00 aps.
