Volleyball Drops 3-1 Fight Against Lasell

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Suffolk women's volleyball team captured the first set, but Lasell rolled in the next three to take down the Rams, 3-1, Saturday afternoon at the Norwich's Andrew Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk rolled out in the first set, 25-19, but from there the Lasers quickly put away the second, 25-13, to level the playing field. A back-and-forth third fell in Lasell's favor, 25-17 and the Lasers secured the victory in the fourth with a 25-15 decision. 
 

Chidera Nwanko led the Rams' offense for the second straight match with a nine-kill effort on a .692 hitting percentage. The sophomore added four blocks to her stat line. Bridget Allison and Talia Lombardo each added seven kills to Suffolk's offense. The pair contributed all over the court for the Rams' as Allison provided 12 digs, three blocks and one assists, while Lombardo tacked on 15 digs and two aces. Liz Kerek set up the majority of Suffolk's offense with 16 handouts to her credit.
