BOSTON – On its longest win streak since 2013, the Suffolk women's volleyball team looks to extend to five straight Wednesday, Oct. 5 when Saint Joseph's (Maine) stops by Regan Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. match.

The Suffolk volleyball team shutout Eastern Nazarene inside Regan Gymnasium Monday night to pick up its fourth straight win.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
With its fourth straight win, Suffolk has met its win streak from a year ago as the Rams hold an 8-6 record. In GNAC play, Suffolk has split its two matches, losing to JWU (3-0), before defeating Mt. Ida (3-1), to bring a 1-1 league ledger into Wednesday's action.
Bridget Allison and Talia Lombardo each contribute a team-best 1.71 kps with Chidera Nwankwo (1.61 kps) also adding over 1.00 kps to the Rams' 7.45 kps. Liz Kerek is Suffolk's primary setter, dishing out 4.07 aps, while Rachel Fancy (2.18 aps) and Lombardo (2.04 aps) have also set up the Rams' offense.
Suffolk receives the ninth-best dig per set average amongst the GNAC in junior Jessica Rexrode (3.55). Lombardo (2.89 dps), Emma Feeney (2.81 dps) and Allison (2.41 dps/0.61 bps) also chip in the defensive side of the net.
MONKS MENTIONABLES
St. Joseph's enters Wednesday tied with Suffolk, St. Joseph (Conn) and Lasell for fourth in the conference with a 1-1 GNAC mark, but owns a 4-8 overall record after snapping a five-match skid Saturday with a sweep at Norwich. As a team, the Monks rank in the bottom half of the league in offensive categories, but St. Joseph's solid defensive play has kept the team competitive as the Monks lead the league in digs per set (18.72).
Shadai Gosselin (2.17 kps) and Victoria Huntley (2.02 kps) notch well over 2.00 kps to pace the Monks offensively with Sarah Dyer (6.56 aps) setting up the offense. Jennelle Thompson leads the team and the league defensively with 6.57 dps.

Suffolk is on its longest win streak (4) since September 2013. With a win Wednesday night, the Rams' win streak would run to five in a row, which has not been achieved for Suffolk since September 2005.
