Volleyball Makes It Four Straight With W OVer Mount Ida

The Suffolk University Women's Volleyball team extended their winning streak to four games with a 3-1 victory over the Mount Ida College Mustang on Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) competition.

Junior Hailey Atkinson (Branford, Conn.) led the Rams on the evening with 10 kills and added four service aces as Suffolk improves to 8-6 on the year and wins their second GNAC match in three chances.

After dropping the first game 25-23, the Rams won three straight by scores of 25-21 in sets two and three and a 25-20 game four victory.

Junior Sarah Arbogast (Chesterfield, Mo.) recorded seven kills, four services aces and five digs for the Rams, while junior Colbey Kennedy (Old Lyme, Conn.) finished with a team-high 18 digs on the defensive side for Suffolk.

Sophomore Glamyrys Sierra (Carolina, Puerto Rico) had 10 settings assists, 12 digs and also added a kill on the evening for the Rams while senior Jennifer Duston (Nashua, N.H.) had a team-high 11 settings assists for the Rams. Sophomore Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) collected five kills to go along with 17 digs and junior Erica Begin (Windham, N.H.) had a team-high five service aces and a dozen digs on the evening to go along with a pair of solo blocks.

Suffolk will be back in action on Thursday evening as they take on Babson College at 7:00pm in non-conference action.
