PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Emily Manfra and Emma Weisse of the Suffolk women's track & field team represented the Rams at Providence's Ocean State Invitational yesterday, Friday, April 12.
Manfra, a Stoneham, Massachusetts, native, finished the mile first in her section with a time of 4:57.76 good for eighth overall in the field of 23. Her performance marks the fifth-best in New England and is the ninth-best time across NCAA Division III.
Weisse, meanwhile, competed in the 5000-meter run. In the 11-runner field, the Hampden, Massachusetts local came in fifth with a time of 17:54.14. Her performance is the fifth highest in the region and ranks 31st in the nation.
Suffolk track & field returns to action today, Saturday, April 13 at the Penmen Relays at SNHU.
