NEW ORLEANS – For the third straight season, Suffolk women's track & field was rewarded for its academic excellence as the team earned a spot on the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, the national organization unveiled this week.
For a team to be considered, a squad must combine for a cumulative grade point average of a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester and/or quarter.
The Rams' roster combined for a 3.591 grade point average, which sat 67th best of the 213 different programs honored, which included Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) counterparts Gordon, Salve Regina and the University of New England, while Suffolk was the lone Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) program to make the list.
