History Made, Manfra Becomes First-Ever Track & Field All-American

BOSTON – A first was made Saturday afternoon in Suffolk Athletics history as Emily Manfra of the Rams' indoor women's track & field team ran her way to All-American status at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Manfra, who was one of two Rams to be the first-ever to compete at the national tournament, secured her spot in the finals after running a 5:01.69 preliminary time Friday afternoon. The junior upstaged that effort the next day with a personal record time of 4:54.13 to finish fifth to secure her All-American status.
