ROXBURY, Mass. – Emily Manfra of the Suffolk women's indoor track & field team captured the mile at Northeastern's Howlin' Husky Invitational Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Reggie Lewis Center.
The junior from Stoneham, Massachusetts, finished first in the nine-runner field with a time of 5:01.45, 1:09 faster than second-place finisher Melissa Fairchild from Northeastern. Manfra's time qualified her for the NCAA Division III New England Indoor Championships.
Manfra and the Rams will be back in action Sunday, Jan. 20 when they compete at the GBTC Invitational at Harvard.
