HOW IT HAPPENED
USJ pulled away in the doubles play with wins from the second and third positions, respectively. Suffolk did get on the board in doubles action though thanks to its top tandem of Ilda Ascic and Kendall Smith, who collected the closing doubles point for the Rams with an 8-5 victory over Jess McAlister and Elaine Griffiths.

Ascic carried her winning momentum into singles as Suffolk's ace cruised to a golden match against McAllister.

The Blue Jays set up match point with a win on court four before clinching the conference victory with a fifth court triumph.

With the match already sealed up in St. Joseph's favor, Suffolk added one more mark in the point column behind Bianca Prescott's, 6-3, 6-2, triumph in the sixth slot.
