Dunlap Tabbed GNAC Player of the Week

BOSTON – In the final week of the regular season Suffolk women's tennis' Delaney Dunlap was named GNAC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Dunlap, who has held down the Rams' ace spot throughout her senior season, led Suffolk past Simmons, 7-2, marking the blue-and-gold's first win over the Sharks since 2007. Dunlap teamed up with rookie Ilda Ascic for an 8-2 doubles win on the first court to get the match going and the senior earned a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 singles victory from No. 1 to help Suffolk secure the fifth spot in the upcoming 2018 conference tournament.

Suffolk's first weekly award of the season marks the first of Dunlap's collegiate career.

Dunlap and the Rams are reading for the GNAC Quarterfinals, which sends the fifth-seeded Rams to fourth-seed Regis Wednesday, Oct. 17 for a 4:30 p.m. first serve.
