DANVERS, Mass. – The Suffolk women's tennis team dropped a non-league match on Saturday afternoon against crosstown foe Emerson by a 6-3 margin at St. John's Prep.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Emerson swept doubles play to take an early 3-0 lead over the Rams.  

Jordan Miller put the blue-and-gold on the board as the freshman took down Cassia Burns, 6-3, 6-2, in the sixth slot.  

The Rams could not rally around Miller's victory, however the Lions picked up wins on courts four and five, respectively to clinch the non-conference clash.  

Delaney Dunlap collected Suffolk's second point of the day with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at No. 1 over Annie Woodbury. 

Ilda Ascic grabbed a 6-3, 6-1 decision in the second spot against Rachel Scalera for the final 6-3 margin.

LOOKING AHEAD
Suffolk is back in action tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 14 when it lifts the lid on its GNAC schedule against Albertus Magnus. The conference clash is set to begin at 4 p.m. at North Reading High School.
