Women’s Tennis Elects Senior Duo Captains

BOSTON – Two days prior to first serve of the 2018 Suffolk women's tennis season, head coach Matthew Tiberii has unveiled that Elena Cisneros Garcia and Delaney Dunlap will share leadership responsibilities as co-captains.

Cisneros Garcia and Dunlap look to lead Suffolk to its 12th consecutive GNAC postseason tournament bid and raise the title banner for the second time in program history.

Dunlap is the returning Rams' ace from a year ago. The Hingham, Massachusetts native collected All-GNAC First-Team Singles status after putting together 9-6 overall record and 4-2 league ledger on the first court. Dunlap leads off the court as well, as the criminal justice major garnered ITA Scholar Athlete status for the 2017-18 academic year.

Cisneros Garcia will wrap-up a four-year career on the courts this fall. The two-time GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team honoree has been a staple on the lower end of the ladder throughout her career in blue-and-gold.
The duo and Suffolk lifts the lid on 2018 this Sunday, Sept. 3 as they entertain Thomas at North Reading High School. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
