The Suffolk University Women's Tennis team topped Anna Maria College 8-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
Suffolk swept all six matches in singles play to improve to a 6-5 overall record and 4-1 mark in GNAC play.
Sophomore Aidiana Sagyndykova (Almaty, Kazakhstan) continued her strong season with a victory in the top singles game as she was a winner 6-0 and 6-2 in the number one individual game.
Senior Adrianna Garrett (Plymouth, Mass.) won the second singles game by similar 6-0, 6-2 scores.
The duo also combined for an 8-2 victory in the top doubles game to improve their tandem record to a 9-1 mark on the season.
Freshman Isabel Rathlev (Wellesley, Mass.) was also a multiple winner on the day for Suffolk as she junior Lyndsay Reese (Saco, Me.) took the third doubles game by an 8-0 score. Rathlev also took the fifth singles game by 6-0, 6-1 scores.
Junior Rebecca Eshoo (Farmington, Conn.) won her seventh contest of the year in singles play with a victory in the third singles contest.
Junior Abby Trigilio (Ipswich, Mass.) was the winner in the fourth singles contest as her 7-4 tiebreak in the third set clinched the victory.
Freshman Jacqueline Nakamura (Ranch Santa Fe, Calif.) rounded out the field for Suffolk as she won the sixth singles game by consecutive 6-0 scores.
Suffolk will now be back in action on Monday as they host Johnson & Wales University in GNAC action at 5:30pm.
