Women's Tennis Duo Recognized by GNAC

Freshman Erica LeBlanc (Londonderry, N.H.) of the Suffolk University Women's Tennis team was a second team All-Conference selection by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the 2011 season.

LeBlanc finished the year with a 7-4 overall record in singles play, leading the Rams in victories in individual play on the year. In eight GNAC matches this season, LeBlanc held a 6-2 mark for the Rams. The freshman played primarily out of the number three singles position for Suffolk compiling a 5-1 overall mark on the year in that spot. She also collected four wins in doubles play playing in the top partners match for the Rams this season.

Senior Rebecca Copeland (Bristol, R.I.) was also recognized by the GNAC being named to the conference All-Sportsmanship team. Copeland finished the season with a 9-10 combined record in singles and doubles play on the season. She finishes her four year career with the Rams as a winner of 39 games in both singles and doubles action.

The Women's Tennis team finished the 2011 season with a 4-7 overall mark, ranking fifth in the GNAC with a 4-4 mark in conference play. The fell in the league tournament quarterfinals to Johnson & Wales University by an 8-1 score.
