Flynn Named CCC Offensive Player of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Kylie Flynn of the Suffolk women's soccer team factored into both of the Rams wins to collect Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors. Flynn finished the 2-0-0 week with one goal and one assist.

At Fitchburg State, Flynn put away the eventual game-winner in the 2-1 victory over the Falcons. The triumph marked the first time in Suffolk's history that it defeated FSU. In the CCC opener against cross city rival Wentworth, the junior from Stoughton, Massachusetts, assisted on the game-winner with a perfect throw in to help push the blue-and-gold past the Leopards, 1-0. That shutout marked the first time Suffolk pulled the curtain back on its CCC campaign in the win column.

Flynn, who pushed her point streak to a career-high three games, is the second-ever Ram in their record book to be tabbed the CCC's best offensive player over a seven-day stretch first since Jazmya Harris took home the feat Nov. 1, 2021. She is the second Suffolk student-athlete to be recognized by the league with a weekly award this season as Avery Porter earned rookie of the week status Sept. 11.

Suffolk steps away from league contests Wednesday, Sept. 20 when it welcomes Lesley to James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park for a 7 p.m. non-conference clash.
