HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk put three attempts on target over the first 15 minutes, but wouldn't break through the scoring until Albertus Magnus made a switch in net with Cassidy Scofield taking over for Sammara Streater. With a fresh set of gloves on the pitch, the Rams took advantage. Scofield bobbled Alyssa Barahona's shot and Pearce was there to pick up the pieces. From just outside the goal on the right the sophomore slid the rock to the lower left to put the blue-and-gold on the board in the 20th minute.

The hosts took their one-goal lead into the locker room and saw a chance to extend the margin 10 minutes into the second stanza. Suffolk began to pick apart the Falcons defense with passes in a zig zag from Barahona to Addisyn Lanza to a cutting O'Brien right in front. Once O'Brien picked up the ball, she booted it right at the net, but Scofield turned it aside to hold Suffolk at one marker.

Suffolk continued to pepper Scofield. The Falcons' netminder picked up all the shots that were put on her to keep Albertus Magnus within striking distance.

The Rams' offensive attack limited Albertus Magnus' scoring chances with the visitors taking just fiveshots with just a pair making its way to Allison Rodrigues. Suffolk's sophomore keeper gobbled up the attempt she saw, which came in the 70th minute, and another late strike that came just outside the two-minute mark to help secure the shutout.

With under a minute to go, O'Brien added insurance for the blue-and-gold with a one-timer from the 10-yard line to push the score to 2-0 Suffolk.
