Women’s Soccer Sends Senior Off Saturday Versus Johnson & Wales

BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer will play at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park on Saturday for the last time during the regular-season this weekend (Oct. 12) when Johnson & Wales heads to Eastie. Prior to the 12 p.m. kick off, the Rams will recognize senior captain Emerson Wildesin a pre-game ceremony.

BENCH PRESS FOR BREAST CANCER
Members of Ram Nation are asked to pull their weight in an effort to take the load off of those affected by breast cancer in Suffolk Athletics' Bench Press for Breast Cancer event Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

SENIOR SALUTE
Prior to the noon kick-off, Ram Nation will pay tribute to Suffolk women's soccer's lone senior Emerson Wildes. The captain from Dudley, Massachusetts, has been a main factor over her last two seasons and has been critical to the best start in GNAC history this season, which was accomplished after shutting out Norwich, 2-0, Oct. 2. In 38 games played, 23 starts, Wildes has found the back of the net once, in a 9-0 offensive onslaught over Anna Maria Sept. 12, 2018. 

LAST TIME OUT
Addisyn Lanza netted what would be the game-winner with less than 10 minutes left in regulation to lead Suffolk women's soccer to a 1-0 victory over Lasell Wednesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With five games remaining in the regular season, Suffolk sits in a share of third place in the GNAC standings with a 5-2 league ledger. Overall, the Rams boasts a 7-3 record.  

Caleigh O'Brien's offensive team leading numbers of seven goals and fourth assist rank fourth and fifth, respectively in the conference ranks, while her 18-point performance over 10 games is good for seventh-best in the league. Although the junior anchors the Rams' 24-goal offense, her classmate Addisyn Lanza is also a consistent contributor with four marks and a pair of helpers as well. Sophomore Julia Hunt has pitched in three strikes and two set ups.  

Allison Rodrigues has been the only set of gloves to backstop Suffolk this season. The sophomore has had a standout season with the best save percentage in the league at .865 to go along with the second-highest GAA at 0.96. Five of her seven wins have come in shutout fashion, which also sits atop the league's netminders. 

WILDCAT WAYS
Johnson & Wales remains the lone unbeaten team in GNAC play as it heads to Boston 6-0 versus conference counterparts and 8-5 overall.  

The Wildcats own the second-most potent offense in the league with 37 goals scored thanks in large part to Olivia Cairrao's 13-marker individual output. The junior has handed out four assists as well to hold 30 points. Jordan Restivo, meanwhile, has 26 points to her credit on nine scores and eight helpers.  

In net, Liz Kenney and Collen Lynch have split time. Lynch, who has played nine games, brings in a 7-1-0 record with a .809 save percentage and a 1.12 GAA and Kenney holds a .519 save percentage and 3.30 GAA over six appearances and three starts. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk looks to snap a two-game skid against JWU that put the Rams at 5-9-0 all-time against the Wildcats. 
• The blue-and-gold's last win over the Wildcats came in the form of a 2-1 stunner in the 2016 GNAC Quarterfinals Sept. 30, 2016.
