BOSTON – After three road tilts, Suffolk women's soccer is back on the pitch at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Wednesday, Oct. 2 when Norwich heads to Boston. The GNAC contest is set for an under the lights kickoff at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's soccer wrapped up its three-game road stretch with a 4-1 GNAC victory over Regis Saturday night at Regis Stadium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After back-to-back road wins, Suffolk set a season-high wins record in the Ashley Van Vechten era at 5-2-0 overall and is off to its best GNAC start at 3-1-0 since 2010.  

Caleigh O'Brien is the offensive catalyst to Suffolk's success as the junior has had a hand in 11 of the Rams' 14 goals this year scoring seven herself and helping on four others. With O'Brien leading all offensive categories there are a quartet of Rams sharing second with six points apiece in Julia Hunt (2g, 2a), Liv Hurley (3g), Addisyn Lanza (2g, 2a) and Caitlin Ryan (3g).  

Allison Rodrigueshas held done the defense in net. The sophomore keeper has started all seven matches and assembled a stat line of 0.94 GAA and .854 save percentage. 

CADETS CATCHUP
Norwich heads to Boston after a 6-1 setback at Johnson & Wales Saturday that put the Cadets 3-6 on the year and 2-2 in GNAC outings. 

Karyssa Lachance has nearly half of Norwich's 14 goals herself with six coming off the sophomore's cleat. Eight other Cadets account for the remaining markers. Madison Oelker has dished a team-best two assists with Sydney Rocheville responsible for the other handout on the squad.  

Kim Watt is Norwich's every day starter in between the pipes. She carries and identical 3-6-0 record into Wednesday's contest with a .775 save percentage and a 2.47 GAA. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk holds an all-time series lead over Norwich, 9-3. 
  • The Rams have rattled off nine straight victories over the Cadets including last season's 2-0 shutout. 
  • Suffolk has kept Norwich off the scoreboard four times with the last cleansheet coming a year ago, 2-0. 
  • Overall the Rams have outscored the Cadets, 32-17. In the past nine contests, the blue-and-gold own a 28-8 advantage in goals. 
  • Norwich took the first three meetings in the all-time series.
