Women’s Soccer Caps Off Home Scheduled Wednesday Against Emmanuel

BOSTON – After a weekend away from the pitch, the Suffolk women's soccer team wraps up its 2018 home slate as the Rams entertain Emmanuel at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Wednesday, Oct. 17. The blue-and-gold will play in front of its home crowd for the final time this season at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Johnson & Wales scored three goals, two in a six-minute span, in the second stanza to take down Suffolk women's soccer, 3-1, Wednesday night at Scots Miracle Gro Atheltic Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has remained in each of its contests through the first 45 minutes, but second stanza scoring frenzies by its opponents have put the Rams in a 2-9-1 overall hole and 2-7-1 league ledger this season. 

Caleigh O'Brien has been responsible for nearly all of the blue-and-gold's goals. The sophomore, who has netted all four of the Rams' scores in the last seven games, has put away eight of Suffolk's 16 total goals.

In net, Allison Rodrigues has stood tall for Suffolk as the first-year carries a .770 save percentage and a 1.94 goals-against average into the midweek meeting.

SAINTS SAYINGS
Emmanuel returned to the win column in convincing fashion Saturday with an 8-0 shutout of Anna Maria to improve to 10-5 on the season and 6-3 in conference outings, good for fifth in the league standings. 

Mikayla Guthrie's 33 points on 13 goals and seven handouts anchors the Saints offense. Natalia Dash and Kayla Generis have also produced over 20-plus points. Dash boasts a nine-goal, five-assist stat line, while Generis has netted eight goals and set-up six strikes.

Lexi Gawron and Kennedy Davignon have both seen time in net for Emmanuel. Gawron is the Saints go-to start with the junior keeper holding a .767 save percentage and a 0.86 save percentage with four shutouts to her credit. Davignon, meanwhile, has a .778 save percentage to go along with a 1.13 goals-against average.

• Suffolk is 1-11 all-time against Emmanuel with its lone win coming in the form of a 6-2 victory in 2010.
