RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has found itself on the cusp of playoff contention at 2-5 in league play and 2-7 overall.

The Rams have been on an offensive slump as of late, being shutout in back-to-back outings. Caleigh O'Brien's boot has anchored Suffolk's attack this season with the sophomore finding the back of the net six times. Julia Hunt is second on the squad in both goals (3) and points (6), while Addisyn Lanza (1g, 2a) and Carley Pearce (2g) share third.

Allison Rodrigues has played the bulk of the action in net for the blue-and-gold. The rookie holds a .746 save percentage and a 2.12 goals-against average.

SHARKS SAYINGS
Simmons has rattled off seven consecutive wins to gain a 7-3 overall record and a 5-1 conference mark, good for a three-way tie for second in the standings.

The Sharks' 29-goal offense is led by Ciara Forde's 10-goal effort. The senior midfielder dished out 2 assists to sit top on the team and second in the league with 22 points. Mikayla Elliott(4g, 5a) and Cierra Martin (5g, 1a) both join Forde with double figure points with 13 and 11, respectively.

Lauren Williams is Simmons go-to starter in goal. The keeper holds a .803 save percentage and a 1.22 goals against average with two shutouts to her credit.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Simmons have tangled since the Rams' first since 2007.
  • Overall, Suffolk trails the series, 3-7-1.
  • The Rams look for their first win over Simmons since a 1-0 shutout Nov. 5, 2013.
  • Seven of the 11 meetings have been decided in a shutout. Suffolk is 2-5 in such outings.
  • The Rams and Sharks have needed extra time to decide a winner twice. Suffolk is 1-0-1 in overtime versus Simmons. The last time the conference foes went over 90 minutes was in 2012 at Simmons where the Rams won, 1-0. A year earlier, in 2011, the teams went into double overtime and that game ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
