BOSTON – For the first time since its season opener, the Suffolk women's soccer team will play away from home as the Rams head to Albertus Magnus Wednesday, Sept. 19. Game time is set for 6 p.m.

The afternoon tilt is the nightcap of a Suffolk soccer doubleheader with the men's team taking the field in game one at noon against Lasell.

LAST TIME OUT
Colby Sawyer blanked Suffolk women's soccer, 2-0, in the team's first-ever meeting Saturday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk stands 1-4 on the season and 1-2 in GNAC action. The Rams only win of the season came in 9-0 shutout over Anna Maria Sept. 12. 

Sophomore Caleigh O'Brien leads Suffolk's 12-goal offense as the sophomore has four markers to her credit. Freshman Julia Hunt falls in a close second with three goals after scoring a hat trick against the AMCATS, while classmate Carley Pearce's two goals sit third on the squad. 

Julia Fieldsend and Allison Rodrigues have split time in net for Suffolk. Rodrigues brings in  a .758 save percentage and a 2.61 goals against average, while Fieldsend boasts a .714 save percentage and a 3.37 goals against average.

FALCONS FACTS
Like Suffolk, Albertus Magnus has only found the win column once this season, a 9-0 win at Mitchell, to sit 1-5 overall and 0-3 in GNAC play. 

A trio of Falcons has multiple goals to their credit to lead the 11-goal offense. Haley Andrews leads the way with three while Jordan Kikosicki and Samantha Valentine have each scored two. Erin Daly and Jaidyn Gillette each own three points with one goal and one assist each. 

Cassidy Scofield and Lexie Fenn have shared the netminding responsibilities. Scofield holds a .773 save percentage and a 2.00 goals against average and Fenn has put together a .733 save percentage and a 2.29 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Wednesday's meeting marks the 14th meeting between the Rams and Falcons with Suffolk trailing the all-time series, 4-8-1.
  • Albertus Magnus has taken the last seven meetings.
  • The blue-and-gold's last victory over its conference counterpart came in 1-0 fashion in 2011.
  • Overall, 10 of the 13 meetings have been decided in shutout.
  • Each of Suffolk's four victories has come by cleansheet decision.

Suffolks' road trip is shortlived as it is right back in front of its home crowd Saturday, Sept. 22 as it entertains Saint Joseph (Conn.). The 3 p.m. contest serves as the nightcap of a Suffolk soccer doubleheader with the men's team hosting the Blue Jays in game one at 12 p.m.
