BOSTON – Madelyn Whipple scored her first collegiate goal at just the right time, with just 1:10 minute remaining at Curry to be exact to lift the Rams over the Colonels, 1-0, at Walter M. Katz Field Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Curry controlled the majority of the contest, even outshooting the Rams, 17-1, over the first 45 minutes, but all that it came down two were the last 120 seconds.
Just under two minutes to play, the ball entered the Colonels zone from the left to the top of the box where Whipple set up a nice give-and-go with junior Alexandra Nagri. The sophomore midfielder slotted it past Curry's keeper Morgan Stott to break open the scoreless non-conference contest.
Suffolk held off a last a last minute push from the Colonels to capture the 1-0 victory, the Rams third straight.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS
- Kirsten Weiker and Julia Fieldsend played the first and second stanzas, respectively, each making seen stops in the shutout.
- Morgan Stott faced just four Suffolk shots and turned away three in the defeat, moving to 4-5-2 on the season.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk defeated Curry for the first-time every since the all-time series begin last season.
- The shutout marks the Rams' fifth, the most for Suffolk since matching that number in 2012.
- The win marks the third straight for Suffolk, which matches a season-best win streak that the Rams put together Sept. 3-10.
