BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey returns to its Commonwealth Coast Conference calendar this weekend for a home-and-home series with the University of New England. The Rams make the trip to Biddeford, Maine Friday, Dec. 1 for a 7 p.m. puck drop, before hosting the Nor'Easters at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink Saturday, Dec. 2 for a 4:50 p.m. showdown.

LAST TIME OUT
Five unanswered Rams goals, two on the power play, pushed Suffolk women's hockey past UMass Boston, 5-1, in the consolation contest of the 16th Codfish Bowl Sunday afternoon at Edward T. Barry Rink.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk returned to the win column Sunday with a 5-1 offensive onslaught of UMass Boston to bring a 3-7-0 overall record into the weekend. In CCC contests, the Rams sit 2-4-0.  

Liliana Moose has turned into a consistent contributor on the offensive end. She has scored twice and set-up six strikes. Jenna Caballero is second on the squad with seven points behind a pair of goals and five handouts. Sammy Lassman owns a team-best three goals.  

Lily O'Neil (3.02 GAA, .907 save%) and Izzy Buckett (2.83 GAA, .905 save%) have split time in between the pipes this season. 

NOR'EASTER NOTES
University of New England slipped to Trinity in its last outing, 4-1, to move to 4-3-2 on the season. The Nor'Easters sport a 3-1-2 league ledger.  

Offensively, Piper Desorcie leads the way with seven points on a team-high five goals and two assists. The group of Jamie DuPont (3g, 2a), Lainie Lemieux (2g, 3a), Hannah Humes (1g, 4a), Jamie Ryan (1g, 4a) and Keely Kasputis (5a) have all supplied five points to UNE's 20-goal scoring unit.  

In net, Delanie Corcoran has played all, but one game. She sports a 1.46 GAA and .949 save percentage with a pair of shutouts. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk sits 6-1-2 all-time against the University of New England. 
  • Suffolk sits 3-1-0 in Eastie against UNE.

RAMS RECOGNITION
Anya Nichipor of the Suffolk women's hockey team was selected as CCC Rookie of the Week after helping the Rams to a 1-1-0 showing at the 16th Codfish Bowl over the Weekend.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams take a brief break from CCC contests Friday, Dec. 8 to when they entertain Connecticut College in Eastie at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 sends Suffolk to Western New England for a first semester finale at 7 p.m. in Springfield, Massachusetts.
